The Cast Of Lingonaut aboard the LSS Nautilus
Spaceman Jim is the designated pilot of the LSS Nautilus. Always up beat and ready for the challenge, there's no place Jim won't accompany you in your language learning journey! He's a real time player.
"Jim" was originally just the placeholder name for our first human astronaut, but the community grew to like the name and it stuck!
Luna Cat is the navigations specialist of the LSS Nautilus, but she's never too interested navigating anywhere, preferring to stay close to the Sun for that sweet, sweet warmth (but not too close!)
Luna Cat is named after Doc's neighbour's cat. She and Tyson (Doc's Dog) used to play together. He'd often go for her treats!
Captain Tyson is the Captain and leader of the LSS Nautilus. He's a chill mellow guy, doesn't know what's going on most of the time but he's having fun all the same, even though he doesn't really do anything! Just a silly lil' dude, a very sleepy fellow indeed!
Captain Tyson is modeled after Doc's closest ally and friend, Tyson the dog! He spent all day sleeping and didn't really do much, but if you'd move away he'd get up, waddle closer to you and plop back down to bed!
No one knows what he is, they just found him floating outside, slowly spinning around, just drifting about. They've managed to find out his name is speck based on a driving license from Luyten B conveniently found in his wallet. The Lingonaut crew are determined to teach him Human languages so they can ask him about what exactly he's doing here! One thing's for sure, Jim won't be letting him drive, Speck's license expired last year!
Speck was originally supposed to both be the mascot for Lingonaut and the name of the app, before it became lingonaut! He also went through many design iterations before landing on his current befuddled-looking self
Bolts is the resident engineer of the LSS Nautilus, in charge of maintenance and the introduction of new features. He's the go-to guy for EVA activities on account of his ability to fly, and he's pretty good at it too! He checks to make sure no other Bots are up to any shenanigans on Lingonaut, and so maintains the Anti-cheat
Bolts is the bot often shown when the site is down for maintenance! You ever find it's taking too long to update, blame him!
