Welcome to the WNWL 3! A monthly wrap-up of all the things that have happened this month with The Lingonaut Project!
Wave 5 is up but we’re slowing the march to Wave 6
Wave 5 was made available on the 10th of July to the first five thousand people. We’re humbled and grateful to report that all available slots were filled on the first day of roll out!
That being said, whilst big patches continue to drop every few days to improve the experience, add new features and bring Lingonaut up to parity with competing platforms, the hardest features and bug fixes are the ones that are left.
Because of this, and the extra time and effort it’s taking to address them, we’re temporarily pausing roll out of Wave 6 until further notice. When it finally does roll out, Lingonauts the world over will be greeted by a place that is slick, fully featured and bug-free to begin their language learning journey.
Please visit the beta page for up to date details!

Revamped Czech course, and a brand new course
Our test course – Czech, has received a massive overhaul and is now fully voiced for the first skill with text-to-speech (via the normal gTTS API, not AI) which allows learners to fully immerse themselves in learning the language without missing audio.
We’ve also fixed all app-breaking bugs pleasant in the skill so beta testers will be able to complete it start-to-finish!
The course content has been completely re-done and refinished using the latest updates to Creatonaut 3 and is now available immediately, though you will need at least Build 21 of Lingonaut to view the images contained within.
LaunchPad 2 now available to the Public
LaunchPad – our answer to the Incubator has left testing and is now available to the public!
It may look similar to LaunchPad 1 on the surface, however LP2 is built from the ground up using a custom framework which allows our translation teams and liaisons to directly access and update their course progress, metadata and more without intervention from the development team or seeing a single line of code.
It already has lists the 90+ languages we intend to support on Lingonaut as well as including instructions on how to contribute.
If you haven’t visited it yet, now is the time to do it by tapping here.
